The Portrait Session
Your Senior Portrait session is planned in detail to ensure that everything is perfect on photo day.
I require a consult with my senior clients and a parent prior to our session date, this enables us to meet in a relaxed setting before joining up on location. On this short visit I learn about you, which helps me prepare for your session. You also get to know me and my craziness, which will ensure your comfortable and ready with confidence in front of the camera. We will plan everything, including location, clothing, style, and little things you most likely wouldn’t think of. I will go over details leaving no worry. I want you to truly enjoy this experience. This is also your time to ask ?, and to share your ideas.
There are no surprises, ask me anything... I don't list the incusions and details of the sessions, maybe I should becasue they are pretty fantastic. The retainer fee is paid at the time of booking to hold your session, the balance is paid at the final pick-up of your products. I always want to accommodate my clients and realize that there are more expenses for your senior besides their portrait session, so I do offer payment options, and will work with you any way that I am able. Any other questions, please just ask as I am more than happy to help.
This decision can be stressful, so I do my best to keep it simple and fun. Your task is finding the photographer that you feel a connection with, that makes you feel great about yourself, as well as offering a beautiful professional outcome.
Girls have an option to have your hair and make-up done for your session, share your ideas with a talented young woman that will work with you, making you look and feel amazing while reflecting your personality with a beautiful look. This is priced seperately from your portrait session. I will work with the scheduling to make your special day less stressful and fun.

Location, location, location...
I have many thoughts on location for my clients sessions, although they aren't only to find a perfect backdrop. Yes- it's important to pick an area that's beautiful, but also reasons why less is more.
I've had clients that have chosen multiple locations, but my experienced is that this is not always the best decision. Unfortunately in this case we find ourselves spending most of the session driving from place to place, and in a very short time we all become tired, bored and distracted. I most certainly like to have 2 different locations, becasue I do feel its important to change things up with your style, and I am pretty creative to get the most out of the locations. I strive to get the most shots of you as we can, so my focus is on YOU, not the flowers, or whatever is in the landscape around us, yes of course I put you in a setting where these are seen, but YOU are my priority.
I encourage you to choose places that are meaningful to you, keeping in mind your lifestyle and personality. Think about color scheme, sun/shade, ease of access, compliments to your wardrobe, also consider the time of year and the weather. Many choose summer, it's lovely but often hot and later in the year the foliage can be dry and not so pretty, fall can be very colorful but again you have to be choosy.
Some locations may require permission, that is something that you will have to obtain prior to your session. Approval in writing or text is fine, I will need this before your session date. Don't think that this is hard to obtain, most places are happy to accomodate a portrait session and will let you know a convenient time.
I can help as well with suggestions, I definatly pride myself on being creative and not repetitive. don't hesitate to ask me anytime prior to your session. It's important to plan ahead and have one less worry.
